Port of Trelleborg welcomes TT-Line’s M / V Peter Pan welcome back!
M / V Peter Pan has been at the German shipyard Drydocks in Bremerhaven since December 2017 and been extended by 30 meters and has also been rebuilt with a new power-optimized and fuel efficient bulbous. The new bulbous and the increased cargo capacity means that CO2 emissions per transported cargo unit is reduced by up to 25 percent.
The vessel is now 220 meters long. The extension means a capacity increase of about 25 percent to about 3000 lane meters.
Without Port of Trelleborg’s ferry berth no 10, which was inaugurated in 2014, it would not have been possible to receive Peter Pan. Ferry berth no 10 is part-financed by EU (TEN-T) in the project “Green Bridge on Nordic Corridor”, which, among other things, aimed at adapting berths in the ports of Trelleborg, Rostock and Lübeck-Travemünde to receive RoPax vessels in the future with a length of 220-240 meters.
TT-Line is happy about this step which enables them to further develop the traffic via Trelleborg and to be able to handle the increased volumes even better.
M / V Peter Pan will operate the routes Trelleborg-Travemünde, Trelleborg-Rostock and Trelleborg-Swinoujscie.
