The route Trelleborg-Sassniz was launched

On April 2, the route Trelleborg-Sassnitz with the high-speed catamaran Skane Jet was launched in Port of Trelleborg, to a clear blue sky as well!

The high-speed catamaran Skane Jet carries more than 600 passengers and up to 200 vehicles in just 2.5 hours and is thus the fastest connection by sea from Sweden to Germany. FRS Baltic will offer day trips  to Sassnitz during April-October 2023, but also night departures during the summer months.

It is very gratifying that the historical King’s Route between Trelleborg and Sassnitz, that was inaugurated on July 6, 1909 by King Gustaf V and the German Emperor Wilhelm II, is back. We are proud that we once again can offer as many as five routes to Europe, which no other Swedish port can. Port of Trelleborg has a unique geographical location and serves today the destinations Rostock, Travemünde, Sassnitz, Swinoujscie and Klaipeda.

CEO Jörgen Nilsson handed traditionally over a plaque from the port to Skane Jet’s captain Lauri Vesik, together with Jonas Bramsved,  Logistics & Security Manager.

With Skane Jet we now have 16 vessels in traffic in the port. We wish our new customer FRS Baltic the best of luck!
