Demonstration of the Vega platform promoting the transition from road to rail transport

On May 13, R2L – Roadraillink held an event on sustainable transport in collaboration with the Port of Trelleborg at our intermodal terminal.

The Port of Trelleborg has a strong interest in promoting the transition from road to rail transport and R2L-Roadraillink offers innovative and efficient solutions with a VEGA platform that can help transporters reach their net zero emissions goals. For example, non-liftable vehicles such as passenger cars, refrigerated trailers and machinery can be easily lifted onto the platform with a reach stacker directly from the ground onto the rail car and vice versa. In addition, it is also a solution to the current driver shortage if trailers can go on rail instead.

Malin Collin, CEO, Port of Trelleborg, opened the event and welcomed around 50 guests. Attendees included people from the automotive industry, rail operators, as well as our shipping customers and partner ports. Thank you R2L-Roadraillink for a rewarding live demonstration!
