The Board of Port of Trelleborg is now complete. At the Annual General Meeting on April 23, it was decided to appoint two external, non-political board members – a step that strengthens the board’s overall expertise and supports the company’s continued strategic development.
The board now consists of both owner representatives and external members with broad experience in business, logistics and corporate development.
Henrik Sonesson has extensive experience from leading positions in industrial operations, with a focus on the water, energy and infrastructure sectors. He has held global roles at companies such as Grundfos, ABS Group and Sandvik, where he was responsible for business development, sales and strategic transformation. Henrik has a strong track record in driving growth, leading change initiatives and developing customer-centric business models in complex organizations.
Håkan Nilsson brings solid expertise in the logistics and transport sector to the board. For more than 30 years, he has held leading roles in Swedish and international companies, including positions as CEO or Chairman of the Board within companies such as CombiTrans, Frigoscandia, Bring Cargo and LGT Logistics. Håkan also has extensive board experience from logistics companies across several European countries, as well as assignments within organizations such as the Confederation of Swedish Enterprises and the Swedish Confederation of Transport Enterprises.
“We are very pleased to welcome Henrik Sonesson and Håkan Nilsson to the board. They bring deep expertise, international experience and a strong business focus that will be valuable for the continued development of Port of Trelleborg,” says Jan Isaksson, Chairman of the Board of Port of Trelleborg.
These appointments are part of Port of Trelleborg’s long-term efforts to develop its operations with a focus on sustainability, efficiency and competitiveness, and to strengthen its position as Scandinavia’s largest RoRo port in a rapidly changing environment.
