Waste water

Waste water
To contribute to the reduction of eutrophication of the Baltic Sea, the goal is to ensure that all the ferries will leave their waste water in port, whereof half of the ferries in 2015 and all by 2020.

The port can now receive ferries’ black and gray water in all the ferry berths in regular service via direct connection to the drainage system to the municipal sewage treatment plant. Black and gray water has for several years been provided by Stena Line’s vessels at berth 8 and 9. In 2014 TT-Line launched ashore pumping of waste water in one of the inner ferry berths.
